Saw this in Croatia, but I guess it is about the same in Macedonia how to roast a lamb. Roasting slowly. Macedonian eat lamb a lot. Macedonia is famous for exporting lambs (in neighboring countries). I like lambs.

クロアチアでこんなもの見かけました。ラムの丸焼き。ゆっくりと時間をかけて焼いてます。マケドニアでもラムはよく食べます。マケドニアは実はラムの輸出で有名です(この近辺では)。私もラムけっこう好きです。

And stopped by Opatija, a gorgeous resort near Rijeka. Even from a view point of a high-end resort lover, Opatija looks very good. I could rent a house there and stay for a summer. It reminded me of a life with the sea, which I learned a bit when I lived in Maldives.

リエカからちょっと西に行ったところにあるオパティアというところにもちょっと行ってきました。オパティアはオーストリア・ハンガリー帝国時代に王侯貴族が訪れていた高級リゾート地ですね。ゴージャスリゾート好きな私でも「きゃー」っていうくらい素敵なところでした。ひと夏別荘でも借りてゆっくりしてもいいかしら、と思わされるところです。海のある生活ってやっぱいいなあ。モルジブ生活時代をちょっと思い出しました。

A weekend trip to Rijeka, Croatia. Rijeka is a cute old port town on the Adriatic coast. It is nice to see the sea sometimes as a beginner surfer and diver who has not practiced for a while. It reminds me a bit of Napoli. Most worth to note is a dinner at Restaurant Kukuriku at Kastav, which is a stars-worth restaurant if Michelin comes here. I was quite surprised that Croatia is this rich country and still not an EU member, whereas Bulgaria at that level already is. My impression towards Croatia became totally positive unlike to other western Balkan countries, especially amazed that buses run almost on time, toilets are clean almost everywhere, the service level at hotels, cafes and restaurants are good (at least nobody was slow nor rude).... about which I found also at the last trip to Dubrovnik and assured again.

ちょっとクロアチアに週末旅行。アドリア海の小さな港町リエカに行ってきたんですけど、なかなかよかったです。ちょっとナポリに似ているかなあ。前にドゥブロヴニクにいった時にも思いましたがクロアチアってヨーロピアンの観光地として有名なだけあってなんだかいろいろちゃんとしているんですよねえ。感心することしかり。他の西バルカン諸国とぜんぜん違うわ。バスとかの交通も時間通りだしとか、ホテルやレストランやカフェとかのサービスとかがちゃんとしているとか、どこいってもトイレがきれいとか。ブルガリアがあのレベル(マケドニアとそう変わらない)でEUに入っているのに、クロアチアがまだなんて、ぜんぜん納得いかないでしょう。リエカでとくにお勧めなのがちょっと北の方に行ったカスタフというところにある「レストラン・ククリク(にわとり)」。ミシュランがクロアチアにあったら、ぜったい星もらっているであろうと思えるクォリティでした。フレンチフュージョンとでもいいましょうか。ちょー満足。やっぱたまにはなにごともいまいちアカ抜けないマケドニアを抜け出して、ちゃんとしたサービス受けながらおいしいごはんを食べるって大事よねえ。
