Sweden is famous for its design work. There are many design goods shops and well-designed buildings, complex and interiors. Stockholm city itself is also well-designed. It is very comfortable to be surrounded by well-designed items. There are even well-designed chic McDonald's (photo right), which is said targeting for adults.

スウェーデンはデザインものが有名ですが、確かにその通りいいデザインのものがあちこちにありました。デザイングッズのショップもそうですけど、よくデザインされたビルとかコンプレックスとかショップインテリアとか。ストックホルムの街自体もよくデザインされているし。非常に居心地がいいんですよね、いいデザインのものに囲まれているのって。大人用の「シックなデザイン」マクドナルドを発見したときはオドロキでした(写真右)。。。

Since most of my trip destinations are usually developing countries, I had never been the country that provides more efficient, well-organized, good service than Japan until this trip to Stockholm. Amazing Sweden. No wonder it is one of the top competitive countries in the world. Photo top left: tickets to make a queue. Very Japanese like efficiency :D Top right: toilet doors to indicate whether it is open or not. Easy eye catch. Excessive service Japanese would like. Bottom left: collecting pet bottles and cans at supermarkets. Good cost reduction measure. Bottom right: caviar tube! Tastes like tarako (cod roe). A must-souvenir for Japanese. But, why fish eggs in a tube like toothpaste? Seems very strange idea to Japanese.

なんせ私が旅行するところは発展途上国が多いので、今回初めて、日本よりも効率的でよくオーガナイズされた素晴らしいサービスを提供する国に出会いました。スウェーデン、すごい。さすが世界で最も「競争的な国」のひとつなだけある。例えば、写真上左:　列を作るときにはちゃんとチケットを取って順番待ち。上右: トイレのドアノブで分かる「使用中」。明確すぎ。下左: スーパーマーケットでペットボトル回収。コスト削減になるよねえ。下右: なんとタラコがチューブに。効率的というか、面白すぎる。さすがデザインの国。不思議。チーズ味とかもあるので日本人へのおみやげとしていいのでは。しかし、なぜチューブ。歯磨き粉じゃないんだから。。。

For the long Easter weekend, I had a trip to Stockholm, Sweden. First trip to Scandinavia. There were things very new to me, quite eye-opening experience. First one was its archipelago features. I did not expect that many islands in North. So as waterways in Stockholm everywhere. Maybe because of the water everywhere, it was cold... still winter there.　

イースター連休を利用して、ストックホルムに行ってきました。スウェーデンって特にイメージもなく、なんとなく行ってみたのですが、行ってびっくり、けっこういろいろ驚かせられました。まずは、スウェーデンってたくさんの島があるってことにびっくり。ストックホルムも水に囲まれているし。だから余計寒いのか。。。寒かったですよ。まだ冬でした。
