cultural scenes in skopje

There was an opportunity to go to the Universal Hall the other day. The Universal Hall is one of the event places in Skopje. Mostly for music events, I guess. In every October, there is a famous Jazz festival in Skopje and it uses this hall.
There are some cultural scenes in Skopje. There is also a big theater hall, which sometimes holds ballet, opera and classic concerts. This theater was designed by Kenzo Tange, a famous Japanese architect.
Speaking of Japanese, there is a Japanese conductor who started his job from this fall for the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra that has some musical instruments donated by Japan. Doesn't it sound like Japanese are all over in Macedonia?

Errr...Tange Kenzo did not design the universal hall. I think it was a bulgarian donation after the quake in 1963. But, Tange Kenzo helped in making the new urban plan for Skopje after the quake, and also designed the new railway station (to date both are not completed according to his vision. the "new" railway is now rather shabby).
