preparation for the world cup

There was an article on a local newspaper "Vest" today: Over 36,000 TV sets and home cinemas of 7 million euros were sold in Macedonia in these two months. It is a record sales figure and it is because people are preparing themself for the FIFA World Cup. Sounds like Japan sometime ago when the event was held there.
By the way, all newspapers in Macedonia are tabloids, and especially this "Vest" is a kind of a tabloid that has sexy girls between pages.
